We offer a variety of community prevention and professional development presentations to a variety of audiences, including youth, businesses, education and social service agencies. We will work with you to meet your training needs.

Adverse Childhood Experiences
We offer a portfolio of trainings by a certified ACEs trainer* that will meet the needs of a variety of audiences. Our goal is to expand the number of community members, professionals, organizations and government officials in Casa Grande and Pinal County who are knowledgeable and are ready to take action on the following areas:
- The ACEs study nationally and in Arizona;
- The short-term and long-term impact of trauma along the age continuum from children to adults;
- Strategies to build protective factors within individuals and communities as part of primary prevention efforts;
- Resilience and trauma-informed care strategies, skills, and resources to support those who have experienced adversity/trauma.

Opioid Misuse Prevention Training for Employers
This workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to learn about opioids, learn about opioid misuse, learn about the national state and local trends for use/misuse and learn about effective strategies to prevent opioid misuse.

E Cigarettes - An Emerging Public Health Threat
Participants in this workshop will learn about a variety of electronic nicotine delivery systems, the local and national trends for usage and the inherent dramatic risks involved. Participants will also learn about how major corporations are driving targeted marketing to our youth.
Alcohol - America's Drug of Choice
When it comes to your beverage of choice, alcoholic beverages are unique. For millions, they are a regular part of the dining experience. They’re often an important component of social events, celebrations, and milestones; we toast people, events, and memories with alcohol. They play a key role in many religious traditions. And, of course, the alcoholic beverage industry is a major economic force, responsible for more than $220 billion in sales annually in the US.
And all of this is true despite the well-known and well-publicized risks of drinking too much alcohol.
MARIJUANA - THEN AND NOW
Marijuana is the most commonly used illegal substance in the U.S. and its use is growing. Marijuana use among all adult age groups, both sexes, and pregnant women is going up. At the same time, the perception of how harmful marijuana use can be is declining. Increasingly, young people today do not consider marijuana use a risky behavior.
But there are real risks for people who use marijuana, especially youth and young adults, and women who are pregnant or nursing. Today’s marijuana is stronger than ever before. People can and do become addicted to marijuana.
"Approximately 1 in 10 people who use marijuana will become addicted. When they start before age 18, the rate of addiction rises to 1 in 6."
PLAY HEALTHY
Play Healthy is a free, evidence-based program that informs parents, coaches and young athletes how players’ health choices impact athletic performance and the success of their team.

- How alcohol and drugs (marijuana and spice) affect the brain
- How substance use impacts school work and athletic performance.
- What youth athletes need to know to keep them safe and healthy
- How adults can deliver this crucial information to youth
Internet Safety for Teens
We often think of teenagers as being tech-savvy, but how much do they know about staying safe online? Many people think teenagers today are light-years ahead of most adults when it comes to using technology. Young people use their phones and tablets so quickly and naturally that it’s easy to believe they know all there is to know about the online world. However, teenagers often have a lot to learn when it comes to staying safe online and knowing what to do if problems arise.
For example, a recent survey conducted by the National Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) revealed that one in four young people in the United Kingdom has seen something upsetting on a social networking site. Of these children, 58 percent were upset by someone they only knew online. Only 22 per cent of the children who had a negative online experience spoke to someone about their problem.
