The Casa Grande Resilience Awards are designed to recognize and celebrate individuals, organizations, or communities that have shown exceptional resilience in the face of adversity. This contest is all about acknowledging those who have been through difficult times and have emerged stronger and more determined than ever.
This award will be given to individuals and organizations that exemplify resilience in the face of adversity. Nominees will have demonstrated the ability to overcome, persevere, maintain a positive attitude, and their commitment to making a positive impact.
The Awardees will be selected by an community-wide panel of judges and celebrated during a special dinner. This award serves as a reminder to everyone that no matter how tough life gets, there is always hope. It highlights the importance of resiliency, perseverance, and determination in achieving success and overcoming adversity.
Nominations accepted through Friday, April 12, 2024, in the following categories:
INTEGRITY AWARD - Recognizes an educator who has overcome significant obstacles while continuing to provide a positive and supportive learning environment for their students. The recipient of this award is an leads by example, is an exceptional communicator that inspires students and peers to achieve their full potential.
SERVICE AWARD - Recognizes a youth (under the age of 18) who has overcome obstacles, displayed a positive attitude, and has shown remarkable strength and determination in the pursuit of their goals. The youth serves as a shining example of the spirit of resilience and inspiring others to persevere.
CHANGE AWARD - -Recognizes a person in recovery who has displayed immense courage and strength in their journey towards recovery. This person has shown remarkable resilience in the face of adversity and has not let their challenges define them. Despite the obstacles that they have faced, they have stood strong, never giving up, and continue to push forward towards their goals.
COMMUNITY AWARD - Recognizes a business, nonprofit or group for the ability to adapt and make necessary changes in strategies, and tactics while maintaining their commitment to their values, employees, and customers. This award recognizes a business, nonprofit or group that has shown exceptional leadership, innovation, and commitment to community during difficult times, serving as an inspiration to others.
BELONGING AWARD - Recognizes a counselor or social worker who promotes resilience and empowers individuals to overcome adversity. This individual has demonstrated an exceptional ability to help those in need and an unwavering commitment to their clients, while fostering emotional strength and personal growth. The recipient of this award is a shining example of perseverance, compassion, and skillful guidance in the face of challenges. This award honors the important role that counselors play in enhancing the lives of individuals, families, and communities
